Fall 2025 - A Pumpkin Pie for the Ages

This pumpkin pie recipe has been in one of our staff member’s family for three generations. It is guaranteed to result in joy, laughter, two delicious pies, and the perfect morning-after-Thanksgiving breakfast.

To make filling for two pies, combine in a bowl:

  • 3 eggs, slightly beaten

  • 2 one-pound cans of pure pumpkin

  • 1 ½ cups of brown sugar

  • ½ teaspoon of salt

  • 2 teaspoons of cinnamon

  • 1 teaspoon of ginger

  • ½ teaspoon of cloves

  • sprinkle of nutmeg and allspice

  • 1 cup of evaporated milk

  • Enough maple syrup to your heart’s content

Pour the filling into two 9-inch uncooked pie shells. Bake in oven for 15 minutes at 425°F. Reduce temperature to 350°F and bake for 45 minutes.

For best results, serve with whipped cream and share with family and friends. Happy Thanksgiving!
